It can be a struggle to create quality friendships as an adult, let alone as a military spouse that moves all the time. Have you felt this way? I definitely have, and so has my guest (and amazing, supportive friend) Suzie Humphrey. As the team lead for Naval Services FamilyLine’s CORE (Continuum of Resources and Education) in San Diego, she’s educating military spouses about all of the available supports for when things feel hard. In this episode, Suzie shares how to be intentional about meeting new people, her #1 tip to take the first step, and why having kids (or not!) shouldn’t limit your invitations to hang out.

We’re exploring:

  • How her experiences as both an Air Force kid and a Navy wife have influenced her
  • Why cultivating friendships is KEY to a happier marriage
  • What happened the first time she attended a spouse club (and why I love them!)
  • Suzie’s decision to be child-free (and what this means for her friendships)
  • ONE thing I wish I would’ve known way earlier as a military spouse
  • And much more!
