Sacrifices are a normal and expected part of being a military spouse. But, this doesn’t make it any more easy to accept them as they come (and often by surprise). In fact, it can bring up feelings of frustration, anger, or unfulfillment. Been there? Yeah, me too.

This week, I’m addressing some common themes in the sacrifices military spouses make, and how you can better manage the emotions that arise. I’ll give you my BEST TIPS to face your fears and use your challenges in productive ways, so you can have the things you want and achieve your goals!

I’m exploring:

  • This week’s Married to Military 101: PCS (permanent change of station)
  • Why even short work trips can be so difficult on a spouse (especially during a lockdown!)
  • The difference between KNOWING about a sacrifice and ACCEPTING it
  • STAGGERING statistics on unemployment among military spouses
  • Breaking down the stigmas of being a full-time parent
  • 4 people you might not know were military spouses — plus, a reminder that we ALL have struggles no matter our status
  • My TOP TIPS for setting realistic goals (and why there’s no better time than NOW to start achieving them!)
  • Recognizing and embracing fear so you can change and grow
  • And so much more!
